My client, a global leader in the Aerospace industry, has an excellent opportunity for a Work Transfer Manager to join their growing team based in Deeside.

In this role, reporting to the Company Director for Supply Chain. You will be managing work transfer activity between the businesses UK suppliers to other suppliers based in Lower Cost Economies.

Responsibilities:
  • Primary contact between the company and the resources within the supply chain in the LCE countries for components undergoing the Work Transfer stage
  • Lead projects for moving work across the supply chain management framework, setting the initial standards and outlining the project outcomes, evaluating potential risks, creating comprehensive project plans, assigning responsibilities, monitoring progress (FAFP), planning for potential overlaps, aligning Change Management Plans and ensure the project stays on track
  • Collaborate closely with various business areas such as Supply Chain, Quality, Program Management, Engineering, etc. to make sure all necessary knowledge about the product or part is passed on to the team in the region before the Work Transfer begins
  • Together with the team, make sure that the supplier's technical requirements reviews, production readiness, and first article flow plans are solid and up to date so that projects are completed in accordance with client specifications
  • Support the improvement of the supply chain process
  • Provide updates on the Work Transfer progress to the business, operating company leadership, and corporate supply chain leadership, identifying areas that require assistance

The person:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a Business Management related subject (ideally Supply Chain) or Engineering
  • CIPS or APICS qualification
  • Project Management skills and previous experience
  • Familiar with Supply Chain, Production Planning and Manufacturing Operations concepts
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
