Engineering Project Manager Overview:
Oversee projects to ensure capital funds are used effectively and in line with the business strategy and objectives.
Engineering Project Manager Job Responsibilities:
Lead the Project Engineering team in driving and supporting project delivery.
Prepare and present project approval documents for review, up to MD level.
Monitor and update spending forecasts to ensure accurate financial planning and control.
Work closely with functions like Procurement and Legal to follow established procedures.
Ensure food safety, quality, and legal compliance.
Complete projects within the agreed scope, preventing scope creep.
Manage CAPEX budgets, ensuring alignment with individual project and overall department/site/company budgets.
Adhere to the EEM process for all projects.
Engineering Project Manager Required Attributes:
Engineering qualification (Degree or equivalent - HND, HNC etc).
Relevant safety certifications (e.g., SMSTS, FAAW, IOSH).
Proficient in MS Office and standard engineering software.
Project management certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, APM).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a quick grasp of business processes and technical requirements.
Experience in Engineering, Food, and/or FMCG industries.
Skilled in budget management.
Familiar with stage-gate project management methodologies.
