KCR Solutions are excited to be working with a successful client based in Gateshead to recruit a Financial Controller. Reporting to the COO, you will be a Qualified Accountant with excellent communication and leadership skills with a proven track record of adding value. This is a key position for the company’s growth plans. Main duties will include:

  • Managing accounting operations
  • Creating financial strategies to successfully increase profitability
  • Overseeing all financial control activities
  • Providing accurate and comprehensive financial information
  • Preparing yearly budgets
  • Preparing and presenting quarterly financial figures and projections
  • Tracking company recharges and ensuring these are correctly applied each month
  • Overseeing all company insurances and ensuring it remains up to date
  • Preparing monthly financial reports, performing account reconciliations and maintaining the general ledger including audit trail support for all journal entries
  • Oversee all reconciliations with bank accounts resolving and discrepancies
  • Lead with annual reviews/audits preparation
  • Ensuring all transactions are recorded, filed and reported correctly
  • Ensuring all reporting meets complaint standards, statutory law and financial regulations
  • Ensuring that the company meets the necessary tax requirements
  • Developing and mentoring the finance team
  • Detailing cashflow projections
  • Reporting on debtors and creditors
  • Handling accruals and prepayments
  • Making company payments across multiple banks and jurisdictions

The successful candidate will excellent communication skills and be a confident leader with previous experience of managing a finance team.
