My client is seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join their finance team in Gateshead. This position presents an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, and General Ledger functions, with training provided if necessary.
Position Details:
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week (flexible 4-day workweek option available)
- Salary: Starting from £27,000
- Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records
- Chase outstanding debts and follow up with clients
- Issue credit notes for refunds promptly
- Process refunds through bank and SAGE systems
- Reconcile supplier statements with SAGE
- Address and resolve supplier queries
- Prepare and execute supplier payment runs
- Conduct bank reconciliations
- Complete VAT returns
Additional Information:
- Experience with SAGE 50 is preferred but not mandatory.
