Our client is a leading competitor in the logistics and parcel delivery sector, renowned for its commitment to reliability and customer service. As part of their ongoing growth and development, they are seeking experienced Van drivers to support our continued success.
As a Van Driver the Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be polite, well-presented, and possess a positive, helpful attitude.
- Have a strong track record of hard work and reliability.
- Maintain the security of company and customer information at all times.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Be physically capable, as the role involves manual handling and heavy lifting.
- Show flexibility in working hours to meet business demands.
Key Responsibilities as a Van Driver:
This role involves more than just driving; you'll be delivering exceptional service across various locations. Responsibilities include:
- Loading and unloading the vehicle efficiently.
- Interacting with customers as the main point of contact, ensuring their satisfaction.
- Completing all necessary documentation accurately and issuing relevant confirmations using a handheld terminal.
Requirements of a Van Driver:
- Successful applicants must complete DBS and security checks.
- The role is based in Gateshead and all we ask for is for you to wear black trousers and a black tshirts
- Ideally you will have driving experience covering gateshead, durham, newcastle as we will be keeping you local
