Major Recruitment are searching for an Experienced Bench Joiner for our client based in Gateshead. This vacancy is full-time and permanent for the right candidate.

Duties include:

  • Creating top-tier joinery work that adheres to precise standards and exact tolerances
  • Reviewing and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to comprehend project requirements
  • Constructing custom-made items
  • Safely operating woodworking hand tools and power tools
  • Ensuring all tasks are performed accurately and meet quality standards

Hours of work and pay rate:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Monday to Thursday 07:30am till 16:00pm, Friday 07:30am till 15:00pm
  • 28,899 per annum starting salary, increasing to 30,927 after 3 month probation, candidates must prove they can successfully carry out all duties required
  • Overtime available as and when the business needs require

Successful candidates must:

  • Have worked in a joinery manufacturing environment and have an advanced level of bench manufacture and installation skills
  • Be able to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Have knowledge of woodworking tools and different joinery techniques
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Be organised, work individually and part of a team and able to meet deadlines
