We are recruiting for a P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst, for a UKAS Accredited Client. They are a recognised name within the industry and can offer excellent progression for hardworking individuals. Candidates will need to commute to their laboratory on a daily basis, so will need to live in the North East. The role will include some ad-hoc administrative tasks, so applicants will need to hold relevant experience in this area. Salaries are competitive and they can offer attractive benefits.

Candidates will need to be based around: Gateshead, Hebburn, Whickham, Blaydon, Washington, Sunderland, Houghton le Spring, South Shields, North Shields, Whitley Bay, Blyth, Cramlington, Ryton, Prudhoe, Consett, Durham, Seaham, Murton, Newton Aycliffe, Bishop Auckland.

Experience / Qualifications:
- Will have experience working as an Asbestos Lab Analyst
- Must hold the BOHS P401 qualification (or RPSH equivalent)
- Organised and efficient work ethic
- Excellent written skills and IT experience

The Role:
- Undertaking analysis of asbestos containing materials (ACMs), through stereo and PLM microscope
- Logging and handling samples
- Administrative tasks, including: issuing certificates to Clients and updating company records and databases
- Participating in AIMS
- Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment
