Time-Served CNC Machinist

Hours:Monday to Thursday, 07:30 - 17:15 (37 hours per week, flexibility available)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in Gateshead. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and running CNC machines with a turning bias, though milling experience is highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

Work from engineering drawings to produce high-quality components.
Program, set, and operate CNC machines.
Primarily working with turning operations, but milling experience would be a strong advantage.
Program, set, and run Puma 480 and 700 machines (highly desirable).
Operate Hass machinery, including ST 30, VF2, and Super Mini Mill (highly desirable).
Utilise Fanuc controls (essential) and Mazatrol (advantageous).

Candidate Requirements:

Time-served CNC machinist with demonstrable experience.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings.
Ability to program, set, and operate CNC machinery.
Experience with both turning and milling operations preferred.
Competence in using Fanuc controls (essential) and Mazatrol (preferred).
Self-motivated, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to tight tolerances.

Salary & Benefits:

Competitive hourly rate of16.24 per hour.
After a 12-week probation period, an additionalweekly allowance of 94.71, which is paid on holidays and sick leave (not included in the basic rate for overtime calculations).
Overtime rates:
- 1.3xMonday to Friday
- 1.5xon Saturday
- 2xon Sunday

Working Hours & Flexibility:

Standard hours:Monday to Thursday, 07:30 - 17:15 (37 hours per week).
Flexibility available for earlier start/finish times.
Overtime opportunities available.
