Reed Accountancy are delighted to be working with a well-established client in Gateshead who are seeking a Credit Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, however, my client is also open to recent Accountancy & Finance graduates looking to step into their first role.

This role involves analysing credit exposures, performing credit-worthiness reviews, and managing credit limits. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement with at least two days per week in their Team Valley office.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Analyse credit exposures and develop trade finance and credit management skills to support the business.
  • Perform credit-worthiness reviews on new and existing accounts in line with the Global Credit Policy to ensure minimal risk.
  • Review and manage credit limits monthly, communicating changes to all relevant parties.
  • Coordinate with the Business Support Centre and other Credit and Collection teams regarding Accounts Receivables and Cash Application.
  • Participate actively in the Performance Management Process, developing SMART goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to achieving division safety goals by maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to global safety policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent IT and communication skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related subject.
  • Previous work experience within the finance field is desirable.
  • Ability to evaluate financial information quickly and efficiently.
  • Highly organised with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Proactive in resolving issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Experience within ERP environments (such as Oracle, SAP) is advantageous.
  • Additional language skills are considered an asset.
