Office Angels are thrilled to support a fantastic company in their search for a Customer Service Administrator to join their friendly and professional team based in Gateshead. This is an exciting opportunity, offering an approx. 12-month maternity cover contract, with the potential for extension or even a permanent contract thereafter, depending on business needs.

The Role

As the Customer Service Administrator, you'll work with a fantastic team of individuals who will support you in your development from day one. We have supported this client for many years, and we can safely say their company culture and employee care is amazing! Working as part of a small team, you will deliver a tailored and first-class service to a global customer base.

Your role will demand exceptional customer service skills, keen attention to detail, and strong abilities in prioritising and organising your day effectively. We are seeking a systems- and process-oriented individual who excels in fast-paced environments and embraces a "plan, do, action, check" approach to ensure success.

Key Details

  • Salary: Circa £24K-£26K, negotiable depending on experience
  • Location: Team Valley, driver preferrable as there are two locations in Gateshead
  • Contract Duration: ASAP start, 12 months maternity cover with potential for extension or permanent opportunities
  • Work Arrangement: Fully office-based
  • Working Hours:
    • 36 hours per week, with flexible start and finish times agreed with the manager
    • Monday to Thursday: 8:20 AM - 4:30 PM
    • Friday: 8:10 AM - Early finish at 1:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Accurate sales order entry, including order acknowledgements and liaising with customers regarding the status of their orders
  • Acting as the first point of contact for customer queries (via phone and email)
  • Managing the administration of servicing contracts, queries, and orders
  • Supporting other team members with these processes when required
  • Providing commercial assistance to customers and liaising between them and internal departments
  • Handling delivery inquiries, complaints, and resolutions via CRM
  • Processing credit card payments and maintaining CRM/ERP systems
  • Preparing export documentation and assisting with sales team inquiries
  • Reviewing product shortages, using Power BI to evaluate sales orders, and allocating stock accordingly
  • Answering reception calls and providing general administrative support

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook essential)
