Responsibilities of the Maths Early Career Teacher (ECT):

  • Teach engaging and innovative maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Work closely with the maths department to develop schemes of work.
  • Track and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Participate in school events and extracurricular activities.

Requirements for the Maths Early Career Teacher (ECT):

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to the teaching profession.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students in their learning.
  • Commitment to professional development and growth as a Maths Early Career Teacher (ECT).
  • Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
