Are you passionate about nurturing the youngest learners and shaping their early educational experiences? If so, GSL Education are looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant in a supportive school environment in Gateshead, where you can make a meaningful impact every day. 

As an Early Years TA, you will provide valuable support in fostering the development and learning of young children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You’ll assist in creating a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and encouraged.

Responsibilities of the Early Years TA:

  • Support the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities.
  • Work closely with small groups or individual children to support their learning and development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and resource management.
  • Monitor and document the progress of children.
  • Promote social, emotional, and personal development among children.

Requirements of the Early Years TA:

  • Experience working within an Early Years setting.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
  • Ability to engage and communicate effectively with young children.
  • Patience, creativity, and a passion for early childhood education.
  • Show flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a secondary school environment.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
