Electrical Engineer Location: Gateshead
Design, develop, and apply the principles of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism for the manufacture of electrical and electronic control panels.
Key accountabilities: - Perform risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical engineering codes. - Conduct research to create new applications. - Designing and improving electrical products and systems. - Evaluating systems’ safety, reliability, and performance. Duties and responsibilities: - Design, control, and implement electrical systems and products. - Develop manufacturing processes according to engineering codes, standards and customer designs. - Manage engineering projects and deliver them on time. - Define customer needs and requirements. - Ensure that installations and applications are in line with customer needs and safety standards. - Collaborate with engineers and technicians to design and apply new system processes. Education and Qualifications Requirements: - Electrical Apprenticeship - Higher Technical Certificate – Electrical Engineering - Practical experience power generation, oil and gas offshore, cable manufacture, chemical, pharmaceutical and utilities industries. Underpinning Knowledge: - Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware and software. - Maths knowledge. - Design skills and knowledge.
