Are you an experienced M&E Design Manager looking for a new opportunity?

One of our key clients are looking for a M&E Design Manager to join their expanding Technical Department in the Gateshead area.

This role is based within the Technical Department with the main role of managing individual schemes with the specific goal of coordinating all technical information between external consultants and internal departments.

They are looking for an individual who has experience in a MEP design capacity or relevant Building Services experience.

You will require the ability to communicate with Clients, Structural Engineers and Architects directly, ensuring all queries are dealt with swiftly, Good time and project management skills, working to tight programmes, solving problems that occur using analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess tender returns to ensure MEP package accurately defines scope and design responsibility.
• Attend pre-order meeting ensuring sub-contract orders are compliant with contract and programme requirements.
• Provide support for sequencing and programming the installation of MEP services.
• Monitor MEP procurement and provide support to project delivery team.
• Organise and chair MEP workshops to provide technical solutions.
• Review and coordinate design programmes, information release schedules and inspection test plans.
• MEP design coordination with building structure, fabric, and constraints.
• Review and comment on MEP design including drawings and technical submittals.
• Review of energy strategy including compliance with current regulations.
• Assist site team in providing resolution to technical queries.
• Complete commission ability review.
• Provide technical support during the commissioning process and assist in programming.
• Assist the commissioning process to ensure compliance with design parameters.
• Attend witnessing and client demonstrations.

A HNC, HND or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Building Services Engineering is required.
