Vehicle Workshop Fitter

We are recrutiing for an experienced Vehicle Workshop Fitter based in Gateshead.

Vehicle Fitters will be required to operate vehicles, the range covers cars to HGVs and plant, including forklift trucks.

You will be required to Undertake inspections, repairs, servicing, and maintenance to vehicles/plant. Determining faults and then undertaking effective repairs. Carry out electrical repairs to vehicles. Attend and affect the recovery of breakdowns across the borough. Use of welding, heating, abrasive and cutting tools as required. Use of lifting equipment.

Previous experience in a similar role is essential

You must have City & Guilds Motor Vehicle Maintenance qualifications or equivalent (including Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle maintenance) or willingness to work towards and a Full current clean driving license
