The Company you will work for;

Mtrec Commercial are proudly representing our highly established and successful client on their search for an experienced Import/Export Coordinator to join the company as soon as possible. If you have the skills and experience required, please apply for an immediate response!

The Role you will be doing;

  • Review schedules and facilitate the release of customer’s sales orders and associated documentation.
  • Commodity code / tariff code administration
  • Facilitate the shipping of customer orders both domestically and international using couriers, freight forwarders,customer intermediary and customer portals.
  • Assist with Customs Clearance.
  • Respond to queries for Contracts, Sales, Customer Services, Quality, Purchasing and Accounts
  • Provide information and prepare progress reports as required by the management team.
  • Export licensing and compliance
  • Support activities that are required for UK government departments, including
  • Export Control Unit
  • Department for International Trade.
  • Facilitate claims with couriers and freight forwarders
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational support issues.
  • Record keeping and archiving
  • Track process quality issues that prevent on-time delivery
  • Support improvement programs for the continued development of the company Quality, Health, Safety &Environmental management system
  • The role is working Monday - Friday general office hours.

About you;

  • Well organised and strong administrative and IT skills
  • High level of numeracy
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to multitask to achieve deadlines and targets
  • Computer literate and able to use multiple applications
  • Previous experience and understanding of customs processes such as: import/ export declarations, VA
  • Tariff codes, commercial invoices, incoterms & harmonised tariff code
  • Be a self-starter and able to prioritise work by customer due date.
  • Great customer service is needed along with strong communication skills.
  • Problem Solving
  • 2 years' experience in domestic and International shipping
  • Experience of courier / freight forwarder / Customer portals
