Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Project Estimator with a strong background in shopfitting and fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role is critical to the success of our projects, as you will be involved from the initial concept stages through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for shopfitting and fit-out projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overheads.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and requirements to develop comprehensive estimates.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and clients to ensure alignment on project scope and cost expectations.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and reliable delivery schedules.
- Contribute to tender preparation, including the development of bid submissions and client proposals.
- Monitor project costs and provide updated estimates throughout the project lifecycle as necessary.
- Stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and best practices within the shopfitting and fit-out sectors.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Project Estimator within the shopfitting or fit-out sectors.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing related to shopfitting and interior fit-outs.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A degree or relevant qualification in construction, quantity surveying, or a related field is desirable.
