Here at Romans Recruitment Group we are retained by a fantastic Main Contractor who are looking for a Senior Health & Safety Advisor, someone that is motivated and passionate about Health & Safety procedures and are always ready to deliver projects to an extremely high standard. You will need to be from a Commercial background and have experience in overseeing project values circa £500k - £15 million.

Health and Safety Advisor Key Duties:

• Carry out weekly site inspections using the safety culture platform and communicate the results to the wider business.
• Carry out pre start site inspections with the project teams and advise on any areas of weakness.
• Assist the project teams where needed to complete any corrective actions raised during audits and inspections including chasing for responses when they have not been received.
• Assist and Complete Construction Phase Plans in the absence of the Health and Safety Manager or as required during busier periods.
• Update Construction Phase Plans throughout the life of the project as required by the project teams.
• Assist the works department producing O&M manuals.
• Uphold regular monthly communications to the wider company by way of toolbox talks and safety alerts/briefings depending on the current trends within the business.
• Assist the Health and Safety Manager with accident investigations as required.
• Record all of the incident, near miss and good catch reports that are received through the QR system this does include chasing for full incident reports when they have not been received in the expected time frame.
• Assist and advise the project teams with RAMS when required.
• Approve suppliers in the absence of the Health and Safety Manager.
