Job Description:
As a Shipping Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of orders, documentation, and shipments within the business. Your responsibilities will include:

Reviewing schedules and facilitating the release of customer sales orders and associated documentation.

Managing commodity and tariff code administration.
-
Overseeing the shipping of customer orders both domestically and internationally.
-
Assisting with customs clearance and export licensing compliance.
-
Responding to queries from Contracts, Sales, Customer Services, Quality, Purchasing, and Accounts teams.

Preparing progress reports and tracking process quality issues affecting delivery.
-
Facilitating claims with couriers and freight forwarders.
-
Supporting UK government department activities, including the Export Control Unit and the Department for International Trade.

Supporting improvement programs for Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental management.
Skills & Experience:
-
Strong administrative and IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

High level of numeracy and organisational skills.
-
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines efficiently.

Experience in customs processes such as import/export declarations, VAT, tariff codes, and incoterms.

Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills.
-
Strong customer service and communication skills.

Minimum 2 years' experience in domestic and international shipping.

Experience with courier/freight forwarder customer portals (e.g., UPS, FedEx, Expeditors, CEVA).
