Quality Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our client’s Operations team. This role supports the Head of Operations and Compliance in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities across the business unit.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Define, specify, and implement quality standards and procedures for manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain and update the Integrated Management System.
  • Lead and support customer and external audits as required.
  • Conduct and manage internal audit processes.
  • Define new and optimise existing production and testing techniques to ensure stable and quality-driven production processes.
  • Maintain and manage the Goods Inward inspection procedure and the internal and external calibration system, including cost management.
  • Work with clients and internal functions to proactively identify trends relating to performance and reliability through RMA data and field performance.
  • Support engineering change requests promptly to ensure ongoing support for products in the field.
  • Provide technical support using problem-solving techniques to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  • Write technical reports in line with internal and customer requirements.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to make decisions aligned with business needs.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as required by the business.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of experience in a Quality Technician/Engineering role, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001).
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Experience in conducting technical analysis of products and evaluating compliance and non-compliance against test specifications.
  • Competent in problem-solving processes including Ishikawa and 5 why analysis.
  • IT literate, proficient in MS Office software.
  • Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and build relationships.
  • Initiative-taking with a can-do attitude and a thirst to continuously develop and learn.
  • Diligent and able to apply a logical and common-sense approach to activities.
