MTrec Technical is delighted to be supporting our esteemed Gateshead-based manufacturing client, seeking a permanent Multi Skilled Engineer to become a part of their expanding team. You will be employed by a fantastic organisation that will help you succeed in the position. Reporting to the Engineer Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of machinery and equipment maintenance, specialising in the repair of industrial equipment. The Job youll do
- Help design, implement, and maintain production systems to a high standard ensuring to quality requirements and to cost.
- Repair industrial production equipment
- Ensure safe systems of work are in place
- Comply and assist with Standing Operating Procedures
- Be vigilant for signs of early machine breakdowns
- Ensure real time repair of machines and equipment to get them back up and running within optimum time frame.
- Document all aspects of maintenance work carried out and keep management informed of potential issues.
- To assist with all site plans, projects, site refurbishments and equipment installations.
- Liaise with maintenance contractors
- To maintain contact with production, attend daily meetings providing an update with engineering activities/challenges.
- Ensure Service level agreements and key performance indicators are fully met
About You
- Experience in a similar role multi-skilled maintenance role
- Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
- Qualifications to NVQ level 3 electrical preferable but not essential
- A good understanding of HACCP principles
