Senior Operations ManagerGateshead£40,000 per annum plus annual profit-related bonusPermanent The Role -ARM are currently recruiting for a Senior Operations Manager to play a significant role in our strategic and day-to-day business delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to join a long-standing, family run business, focused on delivering a quality product in a productive and profitable way.The Role:

  • Managing operational requirements in line with business strategy and objectives
  • Management of Quality Assurance System at all levels of the organisation to create awareness and ensure understanding by translating this awareness to common practice
  • Implementing and continually improving ERP system for all business processes
  • Setting and monitoring KPIs throughout the business
  • Leading change initiatives both at the technical and people levels through recommendation of improvements in structure and processes by identifying performance gaps and resolving these with efficient and cost-effective solutions
  • Responsible for the safety of all employees, their training in safety and for the enforcement of safety programs and policies in line with HSE regulations

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a management role within an engineering/manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge and practical understanding of ISO 9001
  • Proficient in implementation and use of ERP Systems
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to motivate and develop staff
  • Have a continuous improvement mentality to drive quality improvement throughout the business and promote efficient ways of working
  • Degree-educated or equivalent in Business, Engineering, Materials or Manufacturing based subjects
