Randstad C&P are looking for a highly skilled Static Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our clients team in Birtley. This is a multi-skilled role, requiring someone who can turn their hand to all trades and carry out a variety of maintenance tasks across the site. The ideal candidate will have an Electrical or Mechanical Qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting regular inspections and servicing to ensure efficient operation and prevent breakdowns.
  • Responding to breakdowns and faults, diagnosing issues, and completing both first-fix and permanent repairs to a high standard.
  • Maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Carrying out minor plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance where required.
  • Completing repairs and inspections in hard-to-reach areas using the appropriate safety equipment.
  • Operating independently and as part of a team to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations and site procedures.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Must have a relevant Electrical or Mechanical Qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • A hands-on, multi-skilled professional who can adapt to all types of maintenance work
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills in both electrical and mechanical systems
  • 18th edition City and Guilds (Desired)
  • Test and Inspection 2391 (Desired)
  • IPaf (Desired)
  • Full UK Drivers Licence
