The CompanyNigel Wright is supporting a market leading manufacturing business in the Food Industry, in their search for an experienced Maintenance Technician.  Salary – circa £50,000Shift - Panama Shift PatternLocation – GatesheadThe RoleThe experienced Maintenance Technician will be required to – ·       Consistent reporting of all activities including breakdown repair.·       Target the completion of 100% of PM’s, using forward thinking to get maintenance done whenever possible.·       Understanding of health & safety, rules and regulations.·       To assist in initiatives and proactive working to keep site waste below 3%.·       To support an engineering function that can deliver 85% OEE on site.·       Support with PLCs, HMI Scada controlled systems. ·       Effectively respond to breakdowns across a fast-paced manufacturing site.The PersonMaintenance Technician applicants will have –
  • Completed Apprenticeship with a NVQ L3 or above in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong communication skills, working effectively with all stakeholders on site
  • Experience in manufacturing industry within a dedicated maintenance role
