Zenith People are working with our client who are a Manufacturer based here in the North-East and are looking for an experienced, Time-served Mechanical Biased Maintenance Technician to join their team on a permanent basis.

Continental shift pattern - 4 days on (12 hours shift), 4 days off

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work proactively to maintain and repair equipment across multiple areas of the plant.
  • Promptly respond to breakdowns and planned maintenance work.
  • To carry out routine Mechanical Maintenance e.g. Pumps, bearings etc and to assist in electrical maintenance wherever possible.
  • To maintain plant and equipment both reactively (e.g. breakdowns), and proactively (e.g. PPMs, spares build-up).
  • To identify root causes wherever possible and to communicate with relevant personnel.
  • To communicate all relevant and necessary information with lead technician, maintenance technician, colleagues or others within the organisation.
  • To hand over any work which remains incomplete at the end of a shift
  • To refer to records, drawings, manuals, and other material as necessary
  • To work effectively with colleagues and subcontractors
  • To perform any other duties as required by The Company

Qualifications:

  • Completed Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Qualified to a minimum standard of ONC/HND/HNC/NVQ Level 3.
