You'll be joining a rapidly growing business, driven by a series of successful acquisitions. As part of their continued expansion, they are looking for a talented and experienced Payroll Officer to join their team.

This is a newly created role that will play a vital part in managing large-scale payroll operations for a growing workforce.

About the role…

In this role, you'll be responsible for processing high-volume payrolls accurately and on time, ensuring that deadlines are met and that everything runs smoothly.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director you'll work closely with HR, finance teams and with a third-party bureau to resolve payroll queries and discrepancies. You will process pension contributions, commission calculations and calculate statutory payments such as SSP, SMP and SPP, all while staying calm under pressure.

About you…

To succeed in this position, you must have significant experience handling large multiple payrolls. We're looking for someone who thrives on meeting deadlines, remains detail-oriented under pressure and has excellent problem-solving skills. You'll also need to be confident in communicating with both internal teams and employees and familiar with using payroll software and Excel to get the job done.

Your ability to act quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment will be key, as well as your deep understanding of payroll regulations and compliance.
