Are you a recent graduate with a passion for education? We are seeking a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant (Primary) to join our welcoming school in Gateshead. This exciting role offers the opportunity to support young learners and make a real difference in their educational journey.

Responsibilities of Graduate Teaching Assistant (Primary):

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who need extra help.
  • Help with classroom management and organisation.
  • Support the planning and preparation of learning activities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress.

Requirements of Graduate Teaching Assistant (Primary):

  • A recent graduate with a degree in any discipline.
  • Passion for working with children and supporting their learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
