Salary: Up to £25K per annum + a discretionary annual bonus.
Reed are delighted to be working alongside an established business in the Gateshead area who are looking to recruit a Purchasing Assistant on a full time permanent contract.
You will responsible for supporting the team with various tasks including the processing of material requisitions, raising and issuing Purchase Orders, liaising with Suppliers, internal and site based colleagues, monitoring and maintaining existing pricing agreements, processing and resolving supplier invoice queries and general administrative duties connected to the Procurement function.
This is a busy all-round role. Excellent communication, flexibility and problem-solving skills are essential. You will be a strong team player with an organised and methodical approach to your work and demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop your existing skill set and strive for continuous improvement with existing procedures and systems.
