Construction Quantity Surveyor

This role is office-based and offers a dynamic work environment with the opportunity to lead projects across various sectors including commercial, retail, heritage, and education. Applicants of all levels are welcome.  

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee the commercial management of various construction projects.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Report directly to the Commercial Director, providing regular updates on project progress.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure seamless execution and adherence to quality standards.
  • Lead cost management and procurement processes.
  • Manage contractual relationships with external clients, ensuring all parties meet their contractual obligations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in cost efficiency and project delivery through innovative solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying with a relevant degree, or 7 years’ experience without a degree.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in cost management software and MS Office.
  • Full, valid driving licence as regional and occasionally national travel is required.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience as a commercial lead on multiple projects.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams across different disciplines.
