Quantity Surveyor: Gateshead
We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor for a Civils project in Team Valley.
What the role will involve:
- Audit of Subcontractors works on site against Valuations/ Payment Certificates
- Site presence working closely with operations team
- Invoice reconciliation
- Cost Value Report appraisal
- Activity schedule appraisal
- Validation of Contractor's forecast
- Assist in contractual claims, and the Early Warning/ Compensation Event process
- Identify efficiencies / deficiencies at post-project reviews
- Ensure contract compliance, through effective contract management activities; support the Project Delivery teams in producing all necessary contract instructions and communications for the assigned project portfolio
- Undertake cost assurance on various elements of contractor's quotations - challenge and request further substantiation as and when required to fully verify numbers
- Assist with preparation for project review meetings - attend on their behalf when delegated
What we need:
- Bachelors degree in Quantity surveying
- 1-2 years of QS experience
- 2 professional references
