Science Teacher

GSL Education is seeking to employ a Science Teacher to work for a client school based in Sunderland from the upcoming September term. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate who must be hardworking, conscientious and full of energy, with a strong track record of raising attainment.


As a Science Teacher, you will have the chance to inspire young minds and foster a love for science. This role offers you the opportunity to join a supportive and dynamic team, where your expertise and enthusiasm will be valued.

As a Science Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive science lessons to students.
  • Plan and prepare lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Encourage student participation and curiosity in science.

As a Science Teacher, essential requirements include the following:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching science in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge across the science curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Possess an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to have one processed immediately.
