We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a specialist setting in Tyneside. As a SEMH Teacher, you will play a crucial role in nurturing and inspiring students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, helping them achieve their full potential in English lessons  The setting has a good reputation and you will join a motivated and friendly teaching team . The role is Monday to Friday 8.30-4.30 Term Time only with a high liklihood of a permananent role for the right candidate. ( conditions apply ). The setting is easy to reach by car and public transport . This role will commence ASAP 

Key Responsibilities of an SEMH Teacher:

  • Delivering engaging and tailored English lessons to meet the various needs of the students in your class
  • Developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitoring student progress.
  • Building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Implementing innovative teaching strategies to foster a love of English.
  • Motivation of a friendly team of support staff

As an SEMH Teacher you will have the following:

  • Uk recognised Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working with SEMH students or a real desire to work in this area 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Kindness, patience and enthusiasm
  • English specialism or Experience 
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to complete a new application
