Job Description:
As a Social Worker in the Referral and Assessment Team, you will be responsible for completing initial assessments, identifying risks, and making recommendations for interventions to support children and families.
Your role will involve working in a fast-paced environment, responding to new referrals, and collaborating with multi-agency professionals to deliver effective services.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial assessments of children and families to identify risks, needs, and required interventions.
  • Develop action plans and refer families to appropriate services based on identified needs.
  • Work closely with children, families, and professionals from various agencies to ensure coordinated and effective support.
  • Attend child protection conferences, strategy meetings, and court hearings as required.
  • Regularly review cases to monitor progress and ensure appropriate interventions are in place.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Previous experience in a Referral and Assessment Team or similar social work role is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals.
