SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? I am looking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants who are interested in joining the team at a vibrant and inclusive SEN school in Gateshead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs.
- Assist in the implementation of Education Health Care Plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, carers and other professionals to support student development.
- Help with classroom management and organisation.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with a range of Special Educational Needs including Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Profound and Multiple learning difficulties and Severe Learning Difficulties.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Level 3 qualifications in supporting teaching and learning
- Knowledge of approaches which are successful when working with SEN children.

This role requires an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service. I can support with this if you do not have a current DBS.
