SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? I am looking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants who are interested in joining the team at a vibrant and inclusive SEN school in Gateshead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Education Health Care Plans.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, carers and other professionals to support student development.
  • Help with classroom management and organisation.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with a range of Special Educational Needs including Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Profound and Multiple learning difficulties and Severe Learning Difficulties.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Level 3 qualifications in supporting teaching and learning
  • Knowledge of approaches which are successful when working with SEN children.
