Are you a passionate Food Tech Teacher looking to inspire the next generation of culinary experts? We are seeking a dedicated Food Tech Teacher to join our vibrant school in Gateshead. This exciting role offers the opportunity to engage students in the art and science of food technology, fostering their creativity and practical skills.

Responsibilities of Food Tech Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
  • Assess and monitor student progress.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum.
  • Inspire students to explore careers in the food industry.

Requirements of Food Tech Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Food Tech Teacher.
  • Strong knowledge of the Food Technology curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
