Are you a recent graduate with a passion for urban planning and a desire to kickstart your career in the exciting world of Town Planning? We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and driven Graduate Town Planner to join a dynamic planning consultancy in the Gatwick area.

Role Overview:

As a Graduate Town Planner, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of planning projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. You'll be part of a supportive team where you can grow and develop your skills, gaining invaluable experience while contributing to innovative planning solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with planning applications and appeals, supporting senior planners with project management.
  • Conducting research and site assessments, contributing to planning reports and documentation.
  • Engaging with local authorities, clients, and other stakeholders to support the delivery of projects.
  • Gaining hands-on experience across a variety of planning sectors, including residential, retail, and infrastructure.
  • Supporting the preparation and submission of planning proposals, and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.

Requirements:

  • A relevant planning degree (RTPI accredited, or equivalent) or similar qualification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive and team-oriented attitude.
  • The ability to think analytically and problem-solve within the context of planning law and policy.
  • A good understanding of planning legislation and policy (although full training and support will be provided).
  • Full UK driving license (or ability to travel to sites as required).
