Your Role:

As a Teaching Assistant at this school, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the students' learning and wellbeing. Your goal will be to help every child reach their full potential in a nurturing and safe environment.

Key Duties:

  • Support students with their learning and personal care needs as required.
  • Follow individualized plans to address sensory, communication, and behavioural needs.
  • Build positive, caring relationships with students to ensure they feel secure and engaged.
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals to foster independence and personal development.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality, tailored educational experiences.
  • Adapt to varying duties as needed in our dynamic SEN environment.

What They're Looking For:

  • Experience working with SEN, either in a paid or voluntary role.
  • Level 2 qualification or above in Support Work for Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • GCSEs in Maths and English at Level 2/C or above.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection principles.
  • Knowledge or experience with SEN, SEMH, or ASD.
  • Flexibility and a strong commitment to supporting individual student needs.
  • Creativity and professionalism in working with students and colleagues.
