Our OEM Client based in Gaydon or Whitley, is searching for a Supplier Quality Management Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a 12-month contract position initially until 31st March 2026, with the potential for further extensions.

Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.

Position will be based at Gaydon or Whitley but hybrid role, more than 50% of the time working at the client’s supplier sites, some home working can be included but primarily it will be either for a supplier visit or at the client’s site. The professional must have a valid driving license and willing to travel within the UK, mostly around the Midlands.

Supplier Quality Management Engineering focuses on planning, organizing, directing, and reporting on supplier provided raw materials, designed / manufactured goods, and packaging materials to ensure they meet or exceed requirements including:

  • Verifying and validating suppliers and / or subcontractors have received engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
  • Monitoring quality control activities and systems at supplier and subcontractor facilities.
  • Ensuring programs are in place to improve supplier performance and productivity.
  • Reviewing and analyzing corrective action reports to reduce/eliminate defects.
  • May perform deviation investigations into quality issues.
  • A Specialist Professional (P4) is a recognized subject matter expert in job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities typically include:
  • Managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager.
  • Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower-level professionals.
  • Problems faced are difficult and often complex.
