Construction Manager / Senior Site Manager – Warwickshire / Oxon
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced construction professional to join the team of a highly successful main contractor. Initially working on a new build commercial scheme with a build values of c. £15m, you will be a key member of the senior site team that underpins the success of the projects for this repeat business Client.
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate a track record of running multi million pound construction projects, as well as the ability to lead a site team and be Client facing.The Company also places high value on longevity with previous employers, and will suppoer continued develoment and progression.
Essential Experience:
The candidate will need to demonstrate a sound knowledge of all aspects of construction and an appreciation of contract issues.
Leading the site team including effective coordination of subcontractors together with overseeing the requirements of client fit out contractors.
Experience of delviering a range of new build projects in the commercial, industrial or health sectors (or similar).
Reporting into a Contracts Manager, duties will include:
- Revision of programme, discussing any risk with the wider team.
- Through effective management of the site team, ensure that sub-contract personnel on site adhere to the Company’s quality, programme and H&S requirements
- Liaising with the Quantity Surveyor on commercial matters
- Maintain excellent relationships with the Stakeholders through first-class communication and working in a collaborative manner at all times.
- Input into progress reports and liaise with the client team and attend meetings where needed
Preferred Experience and qualifications:
Proven background of running multi million pound projects
Experience of working on new build and refurbishments project within the industrial and commercial sectors
Strong organisation skills with a methodical approach
HNC Construction/BSc Construction Management or similar
Managers CSCS and SMSTS/SSSTS
Future work is likely to be from Midlands to Oxfordshire so being located within this area would be an advantage.
