Our OEM Client based in Gaydon is searching for a Clay Modeller to join their team, Inside IR35.  Please feel free to contact us to gain a better understanding of what this means for you.

Position Description:

This is an opportunity for a Clay Modeller to assist in the development of world class clay models for both exterior and interior designs within our Client’s creative process. This highly skilled role requires flexibility, forward thinking and an eye for detail. This opportunity requires a creative individual who can adapt to new technologies and be able to use an array of analogue and digital tools to greatly contribute to the design process for our Client’s four individual brands.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team in the development and delivery of clay models for customers.
  • Apply a logical modelling approach to achieve the delivery of Creative clay properties to the recognised standards within given timelines (i.e. programme gateways).
  • Report timing and process issues as required.
  • Understand and utilise new technologies to improve our clay modelling process.
  • Support and promote Health and Safety in the Design Studio.
  • Attend Design Delivery Programme Meetings if required.
  • Comply with all company policy and procedures, fully understand the Creators Code and how to behave in the workplace.
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job.

Skills Required:

  • Previous experience of clay modelling within a design studio.
  • Hard modelling skills.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience Required:

  • A good background and experience of working in an OEM Design Studio with Relevant degree or equivalent experience within the industry.
  • Experience using 3 axis CNC milling machines and measuring equipment, is desirable.
