Engineering Liaison Engineer / Senior Engineer

Rates: £25.53 - £30.73 per hour (Umbrella PAYE)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Liaison Senior Engineer to join the Engineering Quality team. In this critical role, you will focus on ensuring flawless quality in new product launches by identifying and resolving issues during system simulation, rig testing, and engineering fleet usage. This role will involve collaboration across multiple functions and locations, including Gaydon and Oxford Road.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct problem definition and resolution for issues identified during Integrated Test Planning across vehicle assessments.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities with Engineering, Manufacturing, Service, and Quality teams to address and resolve quality concerns.
  • Leverage fleet data to identify and address current car issues, contributing to quality improvements across the organisation.
  • Apply structured failure mode avoidance and robust problem-solving techniques to ensure effective resolution of engineering challenges.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality Operating Systems procedures and deliverables throughout the problem resolution process.


Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience in Vehicle Launch or Plant Vehicle Operations, with a strong track record of delivering effective problem resolutions in Engineering or Manufacturing settings.
  • Demonstrated capability in cross-functional coordination, working with diverse teams in Engineering, Manufacturing, Service, and Quality.
  • Strong expertise in failure mode avoidance and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Quality Operating Systems procedures and deliverables.


Desirable Qualifications

  • A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification or similar problem-solving qualification.


Skills Advantageous (Preferred)

  • Familiarity with Integrated Test Planning or other quality improvement frameworks.
  • Additional training or certifications related to quality systems or automotive engineering.
