Our OEM Client based in Gaydon is searching for a Senior Technical Developer to join their team, Inside IR35.  Please feel free to contact us to gain a better understanding of what this means for you.

Position Description:

The Senior Technical Developer works as part of the Tech and Data Hub Development team, responsible for the utilisation of software APIs with various programming languages, to enable automation, validation, and optimisation for maximised business efficiency and quality; all produced and compliant to Business and Tech and Data Hub technical processes and standards. The primary purpose is successful research, development and deployment of productionised working methods/processes, programmed tools/applications/scripts and technical systems to support Vehicle Design, Materiality, Brand and Customer Ready workstreams, using cross-functional collaboration and support.

Skills Required:

  • Python for CGI use cases (e.g. Maya, VRED, Unreal Engine, Nuke).
  • C++.
  • Blueprints (Unreal Engine).

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years’ experience within a digital content delivery or Technical Development background.
  • Strong Python and C++ knowledge.
  • Blueprint coding for Unreal Engine experience, with interest in expanding current knowledge.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Strong knowledge in CGI content production processes and applications (e.g. Unreal Engine, Maya / VRay / Photoshop / Nuke).
  • Source control - strong experience and best practice in Source Control like Perforce and GitLab.
  • Strong knowledge of key content development and creation platforms to support cross-functional business use cases (VR/AR/MR - Realtime rendering - Application Authoring)
  • Strong Knowledge of MS Office and VS code.
  • Ability to learn new languages and technologies.

Experience Preferred:

  • Senior experience working in A CGI Production environment.
  • Visual Basic Knowledge of processes and working practices.
  • Previous experience working with / for Automotive OEMs.
