Your new company
Due to continued growth, this long-established business based in Kings Lynn are looking to appoint a Plant Manager to support their manufacturing operation. Managing a team in excess of 30 headcount you will support the continued development of your team, improving on product quality, reducing waste and ensuring the workforce operates safely.
Your new role
On a day-to-day basis, you will have full responsibility for your manufacturing unit, identifying and implementing improvements in working practices using modern manufacturing philosophies. You will manage cost, quality and output, working closely with other departments to create efficiencies with quality and delivery. You will produce and maintain a production plan ensuring all sales orders and key stock levels serviced, ensuring lead times are maintained or improved. You will ensure stock replenishment/kanban system reflects production capabilities.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally HNC or equivalent in Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical or Production Engineering. You will have proven experience in a manufacturing environment at senior level and be able to demonstrate experience in effectively leading teams. You will have had exposure to and experience in implementing systems, (LEAN, Kanban, Faxban, Six Sigma and Kaizan). With strong communication skills, you will provide regular information to SMT by way of daily and weekly reporting.
