Role Responsibilities- Leading company audit assignments, including planning, fieldwork, and completion, using standard programmes
- Preparing and completing company accounts in line with the firm’s policies and procedures
- Conducting specialist audits, such as SAR, ATOL, pensions, and charities
- Carrying out ad-hoc assignments, including due diligence and systems reviews
- Preparing corporation tax computations
- Supervising, training, and mentoring junior staff members
- Researching and analysing financial statements and audit-related issues
- Interacting proactively with client management to gather information, resolve issues, and recommend business and process improvements
- Managing assignments and reporting progress to the audit manager or partner

Candidate Requirements- ACA or ACCA qualification or be a finalist
- Experience within a multi-partner practice, including audit exposure
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in statutory audit, bookkeeping, and statutory accounts preparation
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities
- A proactive and motivated approach with the ability to manage multiple assignments within budgets and deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Sage, Xero, and other accounting software; experience with CCH would be an advantage
- A valid driver’s license and access to a car for client travel
- Up-to-date technical knowledge of current legislation
- £38,000 to £48,000 pa
