We are recruiting for a Financial Accountant looking for your next challenge? We have an exciting opportunity based in Gerrards Cross, where you will play a key role in a dynamic finance team. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance across several countries, working alongside local and regional controllers.

This is an ideal role for someone with a few years of experience in general ledger accounting, balance sheet management, VAT returns, audit support, and year-end processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare, review, and submit accurate financial information, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Prepare and analyse monthly accounts to Trial Balance for several international entities.

Local Compliance:

  • Prepare Monthly VAT returns.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of statutory returns to local authorities.

Month-end and Year-end Closing:

  • Lead month-end processes for multiple international entities, including journal entries, cashbooks, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and reporting.

General Ledger Management:

  • Maintain the integrity of general ledgers, ensuring accurate coding and documentation.
  • Oversee maintenance of fixed asset registers.

Audit Support:

  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing documentation to ensure smooth audit trails.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work with local Financial Controllers to resolve queries and ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Provide supplementary schedules and analysis for quarterly reporting.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify process optimization opportunities and implement improvements for efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Financial Accounting/General Ledger Accounting.
  • Qualified or part-qualified professional certification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Capability to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
