Job Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Build and install frameworks, partitions, and other wooden structures.
- Accurately measure and mark materials for cutting, shaping, and assembly.
- Assemble materials to form structures such as walls, roofs, and frameworks.
- Repair and replace damaged wooden structures such as window frames, doors, and cabinets.
- Operate hand tools (e.g., hammers, chisels) and power tools (e.g., saws, drills) safely and effectively.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, goggles, and masks.
- Work closely with other tradespeople, such as electricians, plumbers, and masons, to complete projects.
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship in carpentry or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a carpenter or in a related role.
- Knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and safety regulations.
- Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
