We’re seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager to join a brand new nursery in Gerrards Cross. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who’s ready to take on more responsibility, support the Nursery Manager, and make a real impact in a vibrant, child-centred setting.
In this role, you’ll be central to the day-to-day operations—leading by example, motivating your team, and ensuring the highest standards of care and early education. From compliance and curriculum delivery to staff development and parent partnerships, you’ll help shape a positive and purposeful learning environment.
?? Your Key Responsibilities?? Leadership & People Development
- Support, mentor, and inspire a passionate team
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews
?? Operational Excellence
- Help manage the delivery of the EYFS curriculum
- Maintain outstanding care, safety, and compliance standards
- Step in confidently to lead in the Manager’s absence
?? Admin & Financial Oversight
- Assist with budgeting, invoicing, and fee management
- Monitor targets and KPIs to ensure nursery success
?? Family & Community Engagement
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers
- Ensure families feel informed, involved, and supported
?? Culture & Wellbeing
- Promote a positive, professional, and caring culture
- Champion staff wellbeing and encourage ongoing development

- Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years
- Experience as a Room Leader or Deputy Manager
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and Ofsted standards
- Confident leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- A hands-on, proactive approach and a passion for early years education
