Research Analyst – Sustainable Commercial and Manufacturing Facilities Development

A Research Analyst is required by a highly innovative firm that specialises in sustainable commercial and manufacturing facilities development and has ESG and innovation at the very heart of their values. This role will support a specific arm of the firm that is developing commercial sites for food manufacturing and supports shared energy networks, recycled heat and promotes collaboration between tenants. To build on this success, the firm is seeking their first Research Analyst who can apply research and analysis expertise to answer a number of existing questions, as well as setting a research agenda that will continue to push the firm forward. The role is primarily site-based and near Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire.

In this Research Analyst role, the primary objectives and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•    To work with the firm’s leadership to initiate the research function including identification of key questions, stakeholders, resources and processes.•    Define and produce a research agenda that includes regular reports for management on key market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments•    Respond promptly to ad hoc requests from management for specific market intelligence to support new and proposed projects•    Conduct in-depth market analysis on property trends, commercial development and demographic shifts•    Distil and synthesise complex data into actionable insight and outputs such as briefings, reports or slide-decks•    Support feasibility studies for potential development projects•    Monitor and report on emerging real estate market opportunities•    Undertake a key role in the development and growth of the research function

To be a suitable candidate for this Research Analyst role, applicants will need the following skills and experience.

•    Previous experience in a research role (ideally a couple of years or more) in investment banking, consulting, property or investment/private equity •    An interest or passion for ESG and Smart Cities would be extremely beneficial•    Proven ability to produce regular, high-quality market intelligence updates•    Experience in responding to time-sensitive research requests from senior management•    Exceptional analytical and data interpretation skills•    The ability to define a research agenda and to develop a research function from the ground up•    Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely•    A proactive approach and the ability to seek out opportunities to drive the business forward through the provision of a research and analysis service
