Mechanical Technician (Aerospace)

Salary: 32,500 - 35,500 per annum
Hours: 8am - 5pm Mon-Thur (Early Friday finish 12:00)
Overtime: 1.5x basic rate (10+ hours available per week)
Location: Near Gerrards Cross, Uxbridge
Benefits Included: 25 days holiday + BH, 1.5x overtime rate, excellent pension scheme and free on-site parking

We at Syntech Recruitment are pleased to offer an opportunity for a Mechanical Technician to join a highly regarded engineering business based near Gerrards Cross.

As a Mechanical Technician, you will be assembling aircraft seat pans and mechanisms, guide rails, main beam sub-assemblies and survival kits.

Mechanical Technician Duties:

• Using hand tools to assemble aerospace parts
• Perform quality checks on your own work
• Working to engineering diagrams/ drawings
• Undertake self-inspection
• Recording and tracking your work on the ERP software (SAP)
• Make sure tools are fit for purpose and calibrated
• Report any dangerous and other dangers such as faulty equipment to local supervision
• Follow safety regulations
• Conduct stage inspection & final certification

Mechanical Technician Profile:

• Manufacturing experience in Aerospace or other precision environment
• Experience with a variety of hand tools and power tools
• Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings / diagrams
• Computer literate (Excel / Word / SAP)
• Methodical approach
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work within a team
• Target driven orientation
• Strong attention to detail
