Reed Engineering are supporting a leading company in the supply of precision fluid dynamics components, serving sectors such as aerospace, racing and motorsport, biomedical, energy, naval, automotive and industrial. They are seeking a Sales Engineer to promote and manage the sales of their product portfolio, ensuring the creation and maintenance of solid technical and commercial relationships within the assigned customer portfolio.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Promote the sale of products and manage the customer portfolio within the assigned area.
  • Develop and maintain technical-commercial relationships with customers.
  • Research new applications for the company’s products among existing and potential new customers.
  • Monitor, analyse, and achieve defined sales and profit targets.
  • Develop technical and commercial proposals in accordance with company guidelines and in collaboration with the parent company.
  • Provide high-level technical support to customers.
  • Actively participate in trade shows in the UK and possibly in Europe.
  • Interact with Product Managers, Design Engineers, Business Development, Administration and Logistics staff, as well as with the parent company team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree in engineering (minimum three years).
  • 2-3 years of experience in the design of components or fluid dynamic systems or as a development engineer.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical drawing.
  • Availability to travel in the UK weekly and to the United States two to three times per year.
  • Excellent command of the English language (colloquial and technical); knowledge of a second language is appreciated.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork aptitude.
  • Proficiency in the most frequently used technical and business management software.
  • Proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Previous experience in the biomedical sector will be considered as a value added.
